hello,

Im not to experienced with the latest motherboards and I dont know what is good or not good.

Im building a new pc (mainly for gaming use) and I am look for a good motherboard for a intel p4 540 ht skt 775 3.2ghz, It has to be able to use pc3200 ram and support a pci-e graphics card and support 7.1 sound. Can anyone recommend me a good motherboard.

thanks.

If you're into gaming why don't you build an AMD based pc?

If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one thath will go wrong first will be the one that will do the most possible damage

I know that amd is better for gaming, but I have never used amd so I wasnt realy wanting too try, but.. if I was to get an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz Socket 939 or the 3200, what would be the best motherboard then?

Epox nForce 4 Ultra or DFI Lanparty nf4 Ultra

thanks, I go for the Epox nForce 4 Ultra. One question I need to know is, what core is better, a AMD Athlon 64 3200 Venice Core or a AMD (Winchester) Athlon 64bit 3200?

Yes it is the newer one. There's not much difference, I think it adds SSE3, but since the difference in price is not big either I'll get the venice.
