Hi all, im looking for water cooling no, something to fiddle with, could u recommend one of these water cooling kits:
<A HREF="http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Complete_Kits.html" target="_new">http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Complete_Kits.html</A>

im gonna oc my amd 3500+ to about 2.6 or higher if i can push it higher, i wont the temps to go as low as poss so could u give me a estimate of the temps i will be getting, i use the coolmaster centrino5 case, 2x 120mm & 1x 80mm fans.
Also if those kits r a load of crap then can u recommend parts to build my own, my budget will be around £200 - 250 which is about 350 - 450 dollars i guess.
also some water blocks =]
thanks in advance

oh and the kit will also need to cool a 6800 ultra 512mb ram when it comes out 😉

with 450 bucks you can get a VERY VERY kickass setup... i'll give you mine, which pushes a lil over 400 and it'll outperform 99% of setups =P

-2 2-199 heater cores in series
-4 delta tripple blade high speed fans
-2 1.5 heater core fan shrouds
-1 iwaki wmd20rz pump
-1 danger den RBX cpu block
-1 danger den maze 4 vga block
-1 5 1/4 bay reservoir
-1 five feet of tygon tubing
-1 water wetter

it'll add up to about $421 dollars, but if you want to mod your own heater cores, that can be cut down to below 400. also, if you want a performance boost, you can look into the storm g4/g5 blocks by cathar(he's a person).... they are a lil over 120 dollars for a block, a RBX is about 55, so you can see the price difference there. all in all AVOID THOSE DAMN KITS, THEY ARE A HUGE RIP OFF =P

i don't know about the 6800 ultra w/ 512 megs of ram... but so far the blocks for the 6800 ultra are crap, the ramdacs don't need to be water cooled, a good set of ram sinks and good air flow should have you covered

could u possible give me some links to those parts where u got/get them from, as i have to find em over here in the UK :)
also the water blocks, are danger den the best/more affordable then the storm blocks?
thanks

i would have to say so, the top performing blocks are usually

1)hella restrictive (meaning you'll need a VERY good pump)
2)VERY expensive
3)VERY rare to find

so i would say, go for the RBX or TDX if yo don't have the money or time to mess with the storm, neoxx, cascade blocks

most of the parts can be found on
<A HREF="http://www.dangerdenstore.com" target="_new">http://www.dangerdenstore.com</A>
or
<A HREF="http://www.frozencpu.com" target="_new">http://www.frozencpu.com</A>

i don't know if danger den ships internationally, but frozencpu does, but they charge a lil higher =\

<A HREF="http://www.over-clock.co.uk" target="_new">http://www.over-clock.co.uk</A> This is the best place for watercooling seperates in the UK to my knowledge.

If you wanna get a waterchill kit I would get the KT12-L30A (thats if you want to cool CPU, GPU and northbridge and if you have enough room in your case for a dual radiator). I have the KT12-L30 and I think its great.
