First sorry if this is the wrong spot for this question please move it if need be.

My graphics card died on me a few days ago sadly which it was bough used 4-5 years ago so it served its purpose for some time. My pc is no where near current gen or whatever you wanna call it build but I'd love to get a recommended card that would be a nice match for it. I have been searching on pcpartpicker but not sure what would be best choice. my pc specs are below.

CPU: intel core i7 7700k
Ram: 16gb (2 8gb sticks) can upgrade with two more slots available
Motherboard: Strix z270E Gaming (LGa1151)
Graphics currently on motherboard because previous statement lol
2 tb of storage

(edit: also i stream on twitch so I am hoping in the future to grab a second monitor as well so if someone can recommend best way to setup that with the card I'd love that. I was gonna put the second screen on the motherboard port since it mainly will be for chat and other windows.)

Well, if looking for recently used, I'd say a 2070Super. They are @ $500 or less, considerably better than the 2070 that's going for $600.. I don't know why.

It'll easily handle 2x 1080p monitors, it's what I currently have. It's really a good 1440p card, in the same class as a 1080ti or 3060

The 3060 is another good card and can be in the $500-600 range.

Anything stronger than that and you'll be wasting money with 1080p monitors, you'll not see any difference.

I'd recommend nvidia in this, simply because you have a G1, which isn't an impressive psu and Amd cards on that level suffer from transient load spikes that'll tax 650w psus and can cause power loss situations.

But anything in the 1660ti-3060 range is going to be a...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Can you please pass on the make and model of your PSU and it's age? That might be the reason why your previous card conked out. Besides that you will need to mention your location(to understand what you have access to), your preferred site for purchase and the budget set aside for your GPU purchase.

Nice list of parts, all to power the gpu, but missing the most important. What the gpu is going to power and with what?

What use do your monitors see? Do you have intense fps high resolution needs like a 1440p/144Hz or just ok graphics with a 1080p/60Hz?

Or is this just a gpu for handling a little Adobe or photoshop with a side hustle in minecraft and CSGO?

I'm not looking for something to say play high or ultra settings on a game. low or medium is fine. I just want something that will work bout the same as the amd rx460 i was using or better. My chat talked about doing a fundraiser to help me buy a new card so.

to give a sum of my intended use.
I want somewhere between 30-60 frames on say something like minecraft, Alien Isolation, Dying Light, Final Fantasy XIV..... i use 1920-1080 resolution. the card would be the main screen for i believe the 1080p/60hz as you posted.

GTX 560ti will perform like a 750ti, or RX 460, but there are 1 and 2gb variants. A 2gb variant will fare better in 2018. If you're just running esports tier titles like CSGO however the 1gb version will be fine.
theyre fairly cheap on eBay at around 40-60$ shipped

I see ya mentioned the psu isn't great and recommend the nvidia one for the 3060 what would be a good psu to get with it?

You are looking at recommended wattage of 550w for an average pc with a 3060. I take it with a Rx460 that your 7700k isn't heavily overclocked or even close, so the 550w is about right. The G1's weren't great, but they were OK, and you are 100w over in power. Which is fine. I don't see an issue with a 3060.

If going with Amd, for roughly the same level card would be a 6600XT, usually a little cheaper, but you'd spend an extra $100± on a better equipped psu.
