Hi All,
Recently I developed RIG on my own. Configuration:
1. iBall Cabinet with SMPS 400W
2. Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ ( 2 MB L2)
3. Mobo: Gigabyte MA78GM -S2H
4. Memory: 2 GB 800MHz Kingston RAM
5. HDD: Seagate 500GB Sata 2
6. 19" Samsung 943NWX LCD
7. Samsung 20X DVD Writer

I want to further add on a graphics card, as I want to play games at resolution of 1440x900.
I am casual gamer so really not after a great Graphics Card.
I have zeroed on the following :

1. ATI Raedon 4670 512 DDR3
2. Nvidia 9600GT
3. ATI Raedon 4830

Please suggest, which is better upgrade.

Thanks
Amod

I'm going to say the 4830 as well. But i'm curious to know what card your planning on buying and for what price. The 4850 at times can have the same price as a 4830 and you'll get better preformance (this of course depending on sales).

Thanks for the suggestion. 4830 is one I am considering as well but I need to know if my power supply will be sufficient for it or I need a new PSU.

^+1 about the PSU. If what you have is essentially something cheap that came with your case, it is probably good for no more than 250W-300W before blowing chunks, possibly taking other parts with it. Read any of the jonnyguru.com reviews of cheap PSUs, and you'll never buy another one.

Yeah I don't know about the quality of that PSU. If you didn't want to upgrade the PSU then a 4670 should be fine so long as there are enough amps on the 12v rail to give enough power to the PCI-E slot. I certainly wouldn't put a Radeon 4830 in there since even though it could possibly be fine I wouldn't want to risk it. With that setup you should be fine with that Corsair PSU or an Antec Earthwatts PSU
