So I currently run a nonprofit that provides IT services. I currently run 4X 26" Samsung lcd monitors for my desktop connected to a 4 output dvi card.

I would like to consolidate the 4 monitors to a large screen TV possibly 52".

So first i'm wondering what I need to look for in a lcd tv to facilitate the same output as my lcd monitors. So i figure right off the bat I probably need something that does 1080P and 120-240hrz ?

And I need a video card that has the ability to partition off 1 monitor screen into four quadrants.

So if I acquired a good some what newer samsung 50-55 lcd tv with a 240hrz refresh rate does anyone see any reason why it would not perform as well as 4 high end samsung lcd monitors connected to 1 pc?

I don't think it will work.

I suspect your current 26" monitors are something like 1920 x 1200 resolution each.
If you get a single 52"(or 70" or whatever) TV, it will still be 1080P resolution which is 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Of course, there is no problem with sending 4 windows to different parts of one display, but each image will have to be something like 960 x 540 resolution.
Nothing special is required to do that.
