Recommendation required..

Hi all,

I am new to the community. I have a Dell Studio XPS 435MT which I bought around 2.5 years ago.

Its config is as follows:

Intel Core i7 920 2.66 Socket 1366.
Ram is 8 GB pre installed.

Now I want to upgrade it to a high end pc.
I bought In Win Dragon Rider Case and ASUS SaberTooth X58 motherboard as I wanted to reuse my processor.
Can someone of you recommend me the RAM (min 16GB )and PSU for my PC. I dont play games much but I have database and few applications running which consumes more memory. I want to use 4x1TB and configure RAID 10.

For memory, you can get 2 kits of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233146, and run the memory in triple channel mode.

I recommend getting one matched kit with enough Ram sticks to cover all of your DIMMs.

I bought a set of Quad channel ram as a matched set (cheaper too...) instead of two sets of two dimm kits for dual channel.

I was fortunate to discover the 4 Ram sticks were consecutive serial numbers and all made in the same month and year.
