Recommendations for a 2.5" SATA HDD for a laptop

Got a nice deal on a laptop, came with a 256gb m.2 ssd, but that's gonna run out real quick after a few major games.

Don't know enough about laptops so was looking for recommendations for a good and well priced 2nd storage drive. Basically around a 1TB, but that might not be the standard for desktops like it is for laptops, something that would perform as good as a desktop drive is what i'm hoping for.

IS there even space for a normal 2.5" drive? My little search only gave me conflicting answers, some saying there is a second mSata port but no space for normal 2.5" drives. While others said there is space for a regular 2.5". Couldn't find a tear down of that model either.

Well, they "can"come with 1tb 5400rpm drives if you get them directly from dell, so I imagine that yes it does fit:
