Recommendations for a 2K monitor??

Currently I have my eye on the ASUS ROG Swift PG279 but I read about issues with backlight bleed and things like that. So I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations on a monitor. Not really into ultrawide and a TN panel wont cut it

The latest models have much less issues these days. I have a new PG279Q myself that I bought like 2-3 weeks ago, and it has no observable backlight bleeding. I might have been lucky, but from what I read the vast majority of people who buy this monitor now are not getting any problems with it.

Basically, all IPS panels might have these defects, so anything other might suffer the same.

All and all, as a new PG279Q owner I have to say this monitor is really amazing - I wouldn't choose anything else over it. It's expensive, yeah, but if you're looking for top of the line monitor with high refresh rate and amazing specs - you are not going to find anything better.

i been using this new monitor for 3 weeks now. replaced a 5 year old best buy monitor. it nice bright and clear image i dont see any backlight bleed on it. wish i went i got an ips screen a while ago.
