Recommendations for a budget cpu?

Hello and thank you for viewing my thread. I'm currently considering the Intel Core i3-4130 @ 3.40GHz

which would cost me around $100.

Does anyone have any recommendations at or around that price?

It's the best CPU for that money but you can get i5 for 180~190$ and if you live near to "Microcenter" you can get i5-4670k for 190$

Hi,
For the same price you can get the FX 6300. The FX 6300 will trade blow with the Intel's i3 4130.
If you are not planing in the future to do some upgrades, get the FX 6300, since its overclocking abilities will give you more future proof, when you will be using more powerful GPUs.
If you go with the Intel's i3 , the upgrade path is better than the AMD one, since in the future you can upgrade with i5 or i7.
