Hello,

I'm currently using a computer with the following specs: Intel 11th gen i7 2.8 GHz, 4 cores, 16GB RAM, and integrated Intel Iris graphics. Unfortunately, it struggles with gaming performance and, more importantly, needs to be more efficient for virtualization. I use Hyper-V to run a server and a Windows 10 virtual machine, but often experience issues with insufficient available RAM.

What computer would you recommend for a better performance, particularly for gaming and virtualization? I'm looking for something more powerful than my current setup.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

you need to add up how many cores and how much ram you need each piece to use. then chose a cpu with enough cores and enough ram to cover it all. if one or more pieces will use a lot of ssd time, then multiple physical ssd's would be a good idea to ensure each thing gets enough access time to run as it needs to.

i use a 5900x and 64 gb ram to cover my needs. linux host OS, win 10 vm with full gpu, and as many as 10 low resource vm's in a virtual networking set-up. that may be too much or not enough for you. there is no single perfect solution, but rather one that has what you need for your usage pattern.
