Recommendations for a PC build

Hi all,

I've been looking into building a PC for my brother to use for gaming. I have an old gtx 970 lying around along with a 600w psu and 8gb of RAM. Can you recommend cpu, mobo, case etc to go with it. We have a pretty tight budget so as cheap as possible (from UK so in £).

The latest i3's are great budget gaming CPU's and give you the option of upgrading to an i5 or i7 later.

Even the Pentium G4560 does a great job for the money.

With only 2 DIMM slots and a long future ahead I feel that 16GB is a better idea. KISS Principle. Most importantly it matches the board's color scheme 😀. The 8GB is going to be fine for now. But when you need to upgrade that's the RAM I recommend.

You have an upgrade path from the 6400 all the way to the F B I. Oh sorry. Hannibal on the brain. All the way to the 6700 i7.
