Notice I didn't say gaming chair. I have a DX Racer and hate it. I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 and although it is supposed to be one of the best office chairs, I can't get comfortable in mine. The seat depth is too short as well.

I was at a furniture store today and on the way to the office chair section I saw a uniquely shaped chair that is more informal living room style. It had a lever under the armrest that reclines the back, way back. It had a height adjustable headrest. It was very comfortable. The deal breaker is that the seat height was 17" and no height adjustment in the cylinder. Now I am wondering if I should abandon the office chair style altogether and look for an alternative like this. Has anybody else found a non office chair for gaming that is readily available to buy? I sit at a regular height PC desk so no bean bag type suggestions please. I am at 19" seat height right now. I also need the seat depth to be an absolute minimum of 19", preferably 21".

And that is the problem with recommendations with things like this.

I had a DX Racer, and loved it.
Really just looking for other ideas that I may not have thought of after buying office chairs all my life.

For me, the DX Racer cut off the circulation behind my legs due to the high density foam. The side bolsters on the seat were actually painful and the thing creaked if I blinked. LOL

Whatever fits your butt.

The only reason I no longer have the DX is that it wouldn't hold the height. Failed at the 4 year point.

I found a seller called Husky Office. They have a chair with all the right dimensions but I can only find one review online. Anybody bought from them? Here is a link to the chair I am considering. They offer free returns so nothing to lose since I can't try it before buying it.

I found the EXACT same chair as in my above post sold by Walmart and branded as Flash Furniture Hercules. It is about half the price. I sent Husky Office an email to inquire about this and am awaiting their response. I believe they are rebranding chairs with the Husky Office name and selling for a huge markup.

Edit: I also found this chair on Amazon and after reading the reviews, it sounds like a POS.

I just ordered a chair off Amazon and it had a $50 instant credit so got it for about a third of the price of the one on the Husky website. It pays to do your research. Link below.

Over the years, I have bought and discarded several office chairs.
Even the expensive ones do not last.
The synthetic leather cracks or the mechanism fails.
I tried every one out there and none felt really good.
I took a chance and bought a ZURI ergonomic office chair
for some $6https://www.amazon.com/Ergonomic-Sterling-Leather-Executive-Aluminum/dp/B015T21UDY/ref=sr_1_10?crid=1VA3EDDHSESKD&keywords=zuri%2Bchair&qid=1698619474&sprefix=zuri%2Bchair%2Caps%2C118&sr=8-10&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.2b70bf2b-6730-4ccf-ab97-eb60747b8daf&th=100.

It has real leather surfaces.
It can be bought on amazon, but
is actually shipped from ZUMI for less.
Customer service is excellent and you can return it if not satisfied.
