I want to hook up my PS4 Pro and PC to the same monitor, and forgot about the Ethernet connection. Don't really want to unhook it from my PC and plug it into the PS4 every time. Never really heard of ethernet splitters, switches before a quick google search.

Do they work? Anyone tried this? Are they reliable?

I think I'd rather use some kind of splitter rather than run another cable through the house.

A switch, like this:

Thanks for the quick reply. I probably won't be using both my desktop and PS4 at the same time for any bandwidth-hogging activities, but just out of curiosity, if they're both connected to that switch, and only one is using the internet at a time, will the bandwidth it receives be any less than it would without the switch in between?
It won't be any less or any more if one or both are actually running.
