Hi, guys. I'm having some difficulty choosing the right monitor. I do gaming and editing but not on the professional/expert level, so I'm a bit torn between a TN and an IPS monitor. What would you recommend? The monitor's more for work, actually, but I like to experience the good quality for gaming too. Are there budget IPS monitors that have a good refresh rate?

I'm from the Philippines and I could probably spend about 300 USD or 15,000 PHP for the monitor. If you know of anything cheaper, that'd be great as well.

P.S. I also like watching blu ray films too!

Well you may have trouble finding a budget 1440p 144hz IPS panel, you may be able to get a Korean monitor with those specs for around 300USD. Should I just link something from a US store? If there are any online stores in The Philippines you plan to buy from link it and I will have a look at what they have.

Hi, Dunlop0078. Thanks for your reply. I'm actually looking for 27" (2560x1440) or 24" (1920x1080) with a decent refresh rate (probably the next level from 60hz, is it 144hz?).

I'm looking at PC Hub OL: https://awesome-table.com/-KrkkVbKZR_HZ2x8lsHk/view
or DynaQuest PC: https://dynaquestpc.com/ or PC Express https://pcx.com.ph/

I saw this one: https://pcx.com.ph/product/viewsonic-vx3209-2k-32-31-5-viewable-qhd-superclear-ips-monitor/

Aesthetic-wise, I'm really hoping to get a frameless one. :)
