This is my first time looking into building a computer for myself and I need help with my ambition. I plan for my dream computer to use both a 500Gb M.2 PCIe SSD and 1Tb SATA HDD and I want to know which motherboard could support both. Also, the motherboard has to be able to support Intel 8th and 9th gen processors because that is also a part of the design I envisioned for my computer.

Pick parts via PCPartpicker as it checks compatibility but the type of motherboard your looking for is a Z390 Intel board. Pretty much all of them support your storage requirements and CPU's. Due to the board being unlocked you'll want to pair it with a 8th/9th gen K series CPU so that you can overclock the CPU when needed/desired.

An example of what you could get would be something like this...

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Motherboard: Asus - ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($209.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung - 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($149.99 @ Samsung)
Storage: Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $419.87
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
