I've built plenty of gaming desktops over the past 20 years but am currently trying to settle on a laptop that I intend to do some moderate video editing/content creation type work on it. I think I've narrowed it down to a selection between a 'gaming' laptop and a 'workstation' unit. They have similar, but not identical specs, and so I am looking for suggestions. The key differences are:
Gaming laptop:
Gaming laptop:
- Core i9-12900H
- GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8 GB (I assume better but not sure if it actually helps video editing??)
- 16 GB DDR 5 Ram (plan on upgrading to max 64 after market)
- 2560x1440, 400 nit screen
- Core i9-11950H vPro
- Intel UHD integrated graphics (adequate for my purposes?)
- 64 GB DDR4 (128 max capable)
- 3840x2160 600 nit screen (seems way nicer)
