Question Recommendations for upgrades ?

Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade my PC. My current specs are:
- Ryzen 5 5600x
- Noctua NH-D15s
- ASRock B550 Taichi
- G.Skill 2x8GB Trident Z Neo 3600MHz
- ADATA SX8200 Pro 500GB
- Sapphire Nitro+ 6800 XT
- Super Flower Leadex III Gold 850w
- Fractal Design Meshify C
- Some extra case fans and HDDs

After using this beautiful PC for about 3 years I am looking to splurge a little bit. I live in Indonesia and I have around 10-ish million IDR (~$700 USD) to spend on upgrades. The main use of this PC is for gaming. I mostly play BG3 right now and single-player games. Running a 1440p144Hz monitor. I also do some video and photo editing but gaming is the primary focus.

I am looking to either upgrade the CPU or the GPU but I'm unsure what would be the biggest upgrade as of today. Note that whichever I upgrade this year, I will upgrade the other next year so I am looking for the "smarter" choice here.

In the event you would recommend the CPU I am hesitant about maybe going for the 13700K as I can re-use my RAM. But I am the type to upgrade a component every 2-4 years so maybe it would be ideal to make the jump to DDR5 as I will keep those sticks for a while. It feels to me like the GPUs aren't really that massive of a jump but I wanted to know what you guys think about this.

Edit: If you feel like waiting for next-gen is the smart play I would consider it as well since there's basically only a 1-generation gap here between my components and what's currently on offering.

I did not mention but I've already bought a 2TB WD Black NVMe to replace the SX8200 Pro. Generally, I only have Windows, software, and game launchers on the NVMe so I am only using 2-300GB out of the 500GB. My actual games are installed on a separate 1TB SATA SSD drive.

I am currently sitting close to 14-15GB+ whilst gaming as I often have some work stuff open in the background but if I close everything and only have game + game launcher + discord open I am sitting around the 10GB usage (depending on the games)

I had 5600x with 6800xt and sold whole pc.. i decided to upgrade to 5800x3d but stayed on 6800xt, i got like 100% better performance, i had hyperx 3200mhz cl18, now corsair vengeance rt 3600mhz cl16, the card is same, asus tuf 6800xt, so the gpu is good, its just the cpu and ram.. i had mb asus prime x570 p, now asus prime x570 prime pro, so basically all i changed is ram and cpu and warzone 1 fps gone from avg 140 to minimum 200, cheers

You would likely be better upgrading the cpu as compared to the gpu.
As a check, run this simple test:

a) Run YOUR games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
This makes the graphics card loaf a bit.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

If you ONLY game, then the obvious upgrade would be to a X3D processor.
But, it is somewhat of a one trick pony in that other activities do nod do as well as simply the non X3D processor.

Some new games, Hogwarts, I think, are beginning to suggest 32gb ram.
Do not plan on adding another 16gb, ram must be matched for proper operation.
Look at a replacement.
