I'm wanting to do a bit of upgrading to my current system and my biggest hurdle seems to be my CPU. I was wondering what would be a good motherboard and CPU to go along with my GTX 750ti 2gb?
My current set up is.
Motherboard: MSI MS-7721
CPU/APU: AMD A6-6400k APU
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750ti

Preferably under $400 for both with a decent performance boost.
Thank You

Solution
There's plenty of ways to do it. Cheaper motherboard and better CPU, or cheaper CPU and better motherboard. The cheaper CPUs would be plenty for your GTX 750 Ti and even a newer mid-range GPU. You get a better motherboard with the AMD CPU for less cost. I really suggested better motherboards than required. You could go cheaper on both motherboards to save money and possible to get a better i5 or Ryzen 5 CPU.

*Also, not sure if you require a MicroATX motherboard or not. Note the AMD is ATX and not mATX.

It should, I have a Enermax Thorex case made to hold ATX and micro ATX. Pretty big case.
lol looking at the benchmark is amazing. This will also allow me to upgrade my GPU later on, with a much better base system you have helped me with.Thank you very much
