I am in the market for a new CPU cooler! Not sure really what to look for and what I need. So for starters I have a Intel CPU i7. My case is the phantek eclipse silent edition. I have picture of the inside of the case and how my set up is if anyone needs them. Thank you in advance

Air cooling does have fewer moving parts, so with that logic, they should last longer.

A good air cooler can do just as good of a job as a good AIO for a CPU. However, I would not say air coolers perform better in most scenarios. But, big air coolers are big and some cases don't support them. You also have to deal with RAM clearances.

I have had several AIO cooler and never had a leak. But I have never bought a AIO from a no name manufacturer. I would go with Corsair or NZXT if I went liquid. And never...
How much are you looking to spend? The Cryorig H5 is a good cooler that cost around $45. Noctua makes some of the best air coolers. The Noctua NH-D15 is one of the best air coolers on the market, but it is expensive at $85.

Have you though about a AIO liquid cooler? The Corsair H110i should fit in that case and it is a very good AIO liquid cooler. But it will cost over $100.

Price doesn't matter I just want it to last for more then 5 years like my other one did which was a Corsair something can't remember
I we'll look at all recommendation then! What is more beneficial water or air cooling?

AIO watercooling is just more pricier and does have a failure point(the pump and the tubing connection - read leaks) whereas air cooling is cheaper and performs better in most scenarios. AIO cooling is also more of antithetical thing. Either way, you're good to go.

It really comes down to preference. Some claim that air coolers are quieter than liquid, some say liquid is quieter. It really comes down to the case and the pump. Every use case is different because there are millions of component combinations.
