I7-4770K is definitely a better choice that FX-8350, there is like no contest. You really need to like DIG hard to unearth some odd benchmark where FX-8350 is better. Just get I7 and stop ramming your head on the wall really.
On the future, honestly - it does not matter - just look how the last 3 years treated desktop CPU's - there were improvements, sure, but people with 3 years old high-end Sandy Bridge CPU's are still doing just fine with newest comparable CPUs' being just like 20-25% faster, really.
If you buy I7-4770K now it will easily be good for the next 4-5 years. Expecting something to be good for 5-7 years when it comes to computers is a bit insane, IMO, but I7-4770K certainly won't put you in a rash to upgrade in a couple of years from now.
HOWEVER
While FX-8350 is not better performance-wise, it's not really that much worse than I7, while being somewhat cheaper. So if you have a certain budget to meet, then it may be a smarter idea to get FX-8350 instead and put that spare cash into some other better components.
