Hi

I have recently build my rig (a much needed upgrade from Core2Quad Q6600) with the following mini ITX config:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2bhLt6

Cooler Master Elite 130 (it does support a full size GPU)
i5 6600 (non-K; as K was rare, costly, without cooler; I didn't really plan to overclock a mini-ITX build)
16GB DDR4 RAM (Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz)
240GB SSD (Sandisk, got a good price deal on it)
Gigabyte Z170N Gaming 5 (I got a good price deal on this, and also wanted the USB 3.1 Type-C, I am aware that an H170 could have done the job)

Following parts were re-used from the old build:

AMD 7770 1GB DDR5 Sapphire GHz Edition (THE BOTTLENECK)
Corsair GS600 PSU
Seagate 500GB SATA HDD
DVD-RW ODD (SATA)

QuadHD and 4K Displays are far from reality here in India (significantly higher costs compared to other developed markets)

I am currently using a 24" Dell FullHD Display.
I will surely add a second monitor in the future (not really for gaming, more for content viewing).
I don't really plan on 4K Gaming (at least for the next 2-3 years).
The card should be future proof for gaming on 2560 x 1440 (QuadHD) display (Medium to High graphics).
It should be VR Ready!

I have the budget, but I can wait for nvidia Pascal / AMD Polaris as 7770 manages to let me play CS:GO smoothly. However, I shall play all major FPS Games (Crysis, Battlefield, COD etc.) in the future.

Thanks in advance!

I have a CM 130 case. It's a crazy tight fit with the liquid cooling, but it all does fit. As for the card, I'm running an EVGA SSC GTX 970 and it fits and works perfectly. For 1080P it's basically one of the best options you'll have before you get to spending way more. ($300-350 USD for the tier it's in, next tier is $500+)

Just get a good cooler for the CPU. That case is an oven otherwise. I'd recommend against liquid based on my install experience.

well your power supply limits you to a gtx 970

should get the job done medium/high at 1440p though

if you want future proof, then you need to get a good 650w power supply and a gtx 980 ti
