Hi! Im planning to upgrade my rig on summer vacation in 2020, but I dont know what parts to upgrade although my priority is a new rtx gpu. But i dont know if i need to upgrade other components too if im going to buy an rtx card. My budget for the gpu is max 1000$ or 10000 kr approx. in norway where I live. Can i get a recommendation on which parts i can upgrade for both performance and cost efficiency?

I do a lot of film editing, streaming, gaming (triple A games), and some graphic designing. And hee is my rig at the moment:

Psu: Corsair Rm750x v2
Motherboard: Asus rog strix z390-f
Gpu: Msi geforce gtx 1050ti 4gb aero itx oc
RAM: 4x4 crucial ddr4 2400 mhz
Processor: Intel I5 9400f

1000$ is my budget for the gpu only. I can buy the (other need to be upgraded components) with extra cash, maybe another 500$ max.

Thanks for the help!

If you want to save a bit go for an RTX2070 super.

A lower end I5 and a high end GPU is a little imbalanced, so i would opt for an I7.

You didnt mention a cooler. If using an intel stock cooler, you will need a better one for the I7.

I5 would bottleneck with an RTX GPU, Ram is also a bottleneck, get 2x8, or go for the Nitro RX5700XT from sapphire/AMD, it matches the power of the 2080 at £430

oh no. a vs650 with a 5700xt. I love sapphire nitros....

Back on topic.

A 5700xt is a good card, great value, but if your budget allows for a 2070 super or 2080 super, you will see more performance from the RTX cards.
I went to a techstore website in my country to check which parts are available and if it all fits on my budget. These are the parts that I plan to get since it fits exactly on the budget. (not really, went a little over.) Are these parts okay or are some of them a little bit overkill?
