Recommended graphics card for my build and game choice!

Hey guys, basically I just built my new PC, I have windows 7 home premium 64bit, Intel i5 4670k, Asus Z87-K mobo, 8 gb ram, 750w power supply, 128gb SSD, 1TB HDD. Was just wondering what the best graphics card to go with my build is, I want to have as little bottleneck as possible. I was looking into the Asus GTX 670, is this a good choice and if not, why. I will be playing games like WoW, Battlefield, tomb raider and bioshock infinite etc. Thanks for your time

The 670 is a great choice. the equivalent, but slightly faster is the 280x

go for whichever of the two is cheaper in your case, as the 280x will be much better in battlefeild after the mantle patch comes out

I will be pushing the boat out slightly on price and can go for the 280x, is there a specific retailer I should choose and is there any cards that will make the most of my CPU which I may overclock soon.

Most are fairly similar, just get the one you have the budget for. even the cheapest ones are not bad

Also check on gtx 770 prices, as you may be in an area where the 770 is much cheaper than the 280x (basically identicle performance, trading blows in many games)

Also remember for battlefeild, even if mantle is a flop and only give minimal performance, that little bit will put the 280x above the 770 in terms of averages across games (assuming more games start coming out with mantle)

The asus 770 is great, and one of the better ones available. If you want to save the quid, go for the 280x, that's about it, but the performance between the two cards is VERY similar, with the 770 being marginally ahead

I personally disagree with bit-tech's performance numbers in their benchmarks. This is just my personal opinion based on more trusted reviewers (also personal opinion). If you want accurate benchmarks, OC3D is one of the best out there (linus from tech tips seems to favor nvidia so i avoid him)

I have no idea what brand to go for in these situations. Only improvement I could see upon the Asus is the other has 3 fans.

The asus one is better than the palit, simple as that lol (quieter and lower temps)
