Recommended Heatsink for Athlon 3000+

After some advice here - installed game on PC at weekend and computer locked up after about 30 mins of running it - looks as though CPU got a tad hot - its athlon 3000+ with Arctic Cooling 2TC heat sink and stock fan. Looks as though this isn't man enough as CPU runs at 44 deg C at idle and well over 60 deg C under load - can anyone suggest a better heatsink/fan combo and heat sink paste (this is all in an ATX case) Thanks

Make sure u don't have the heat sink on backwards.
