Intended Use:

Home entertainment theater system. Needs to integrate with existing SMB-fed windows media library and support Win10.

This will be connected to a television via HDMI @ 1080p. Just need media streaming @ max resolution and HDMI-in support.

Don't need to worry about gaming performance at this point - my desktop can do the heavy lifting in this arena.

Budget

=<700. Logitech revue was <80 so less is preferred.

Country of Origin

United States...Ebay, Newegg, Amazon, etc.

Parts.

Might purchase a prebuilt kit via ebay, such as EKARZ87E-ITXM350.

Additional Details

This is my first foray into HTPC, but I have a fair bit of experience with mid-tower ATX builds.
My ultimate goal is to have a small HTPC unit (Mini-ATX or Micro-ITX) setup as a home entertainment box, which can take advantage of Win10's store apps along with streaming media at 1080p.

I will need 2x HDMI ports (1x HDMI-out, 1x HDMI-in).

I have additionally grown accustomed to HDMI passthrough, so would like to be able to easily switch-over to my set top box with my HTPC acting as a main hub.
ASRock seems to be the only mini/micro motherboard manufacturer with HDMI-in support, so this looks like an ideal setup path.

Would also like to obtain a remote control or mini-keyboard for this setup as well, open to suggestions...ideally something which can also control my set top box.

Thanks!

ASRock has a HDMI-In solution motherboard, just not sure if this is the latest generation. Here's the product link: http://www.asrock.com/microsite/intel8/
