Recommended Mobo for AMD FX 6100

Hi Friends,

I was planning to upgrade my motherboard for quite a long time to upgrade to DDR4 support, but it seems to go dead now. My processor is AMD 6100 FX, which I think is on 32nm.

What all motherboards would you recommend for support of atleast 32GB DDR4 RAM, if anyone is using 64GB DDR4 in a desktop for virtual labs then also let me know. I also heard during my last upgrade that ASrock came up with mobos supporting both DDR3 (My current is 16GB DDR3, that is the max supported by dead Gigabyte mobo) and DDR4, one at a time? Is that correct any other company came up with such a logic?

Mine Gigabyte last long, as compared to past of ECS specially when my PC is almost on for 14-16 hours a day. Also what would be an estimated power supply required for:

A recommended Graphic Card for this combo of CPU and 32GB DDR4
2 HDD of 4 TB each
Need a graphic card as well so will buy as per the recommendations.

I think the new CPUs have a different architecture < 32nm, if not then any motherboard that supports my current CPU and incase I upgrade the CPU in future to Ryzon series?

There are no mobos for your cpu that support ddr4. There is no mobo that supports both. There are no mobos that support the cpu and ryzen. There is no mobo worth spending money on that is compatible with that cpu. You need to upgrade cpu+mobo+ram.

Yes, I figured out while searching that CPU only supports DDR3 so searching if any mobo is there for this FX 6100 as of now till 32 GB ddr3

Your current mobo doesn't work anymore? Then just find the cheapest one you can find that isn't bad quality like ecs.

I suspect it is dead as the replacement of Power Supply and RAM didn't fix the issue.
