Recommended overclock for my FX-8320?

I am interested in overclocking my FX-8320, but I have never overclocked a CPU before and I am wondering how much power I would be able to get out of it taking my PSU into consideration. My parts are as follows.

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438014
GPU: http://us.msi.com/product/vga/GTX-970-GAMING-4G.html#hero-specification (at stock speed)
CPU: AMD FX-8320
MB: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz.
HD: A 1TB Western Digital HD
And a typical CD drive.

Let's assume I wanted to OC my FX-8320 to 4.5 GHZ. Would my PSU be able to handle it and all of the other parts in my comp? If not, what would the recommended OC speed for my 8320 be?

EDIT: I almost forgot, I have heard that some motherboards are not capable of overclocking. Is my ASUS M5A97 R2.0 capable of it?

Not at all, your CPU is practically the same as an FX 8350, which it's turbo is 4.2Ghz, so by doing that it's sort of redundant to overclock to achieve a turbo of the one up processor of yours. It's all about whether you got a good chip or not, and watching temps, some CPUs need more voltage to overclock, resulting in more heat, in your case with the 212 Plus, you should be able to get 4.5Ghz IF you have a good chip, otherwise, you may only be able to even get 4.2 with safe temperatures or 4.4, 4.3 etc. but make sure you know what you are doing, and don't let your chip go over 65C on the Prime95...
Your PSU would be fine for it. Cooling the CPU and the motherboard is. CPU cooling can be achieved with a decent cooler like a Hyper Evo 212+ or something similiar, but your motherboard doesn't have a huge number of VRM's. These are required to give good, clean, stable power to the CPU when overclocking. To hit 4.5 with that motherboard, the VRM's would probably get too hot, too fast, and they can't be cooled as easily.

I had that MB before I brought it back and upgraded, but I could hit 4.0 to 4.2 with it no problem and a decent cooler. Lots of tweaking and things though to get a good overclock.

Always stress test to make sure your CPU is stable, I recommend 15 minutes in order to have a stable enough OC to run your PC as a daily gaming rig, but for max system stability the 24hr test is key. And if you have time to cancel your order, get the Hyper 212 EVO model, it is much better/quieter for the same price or slightly more. Finally, research overclocking- know your limit, stay within it. :D

Also your motherboard won't get too terribly hot, it does have a decently large heatsink on it, and your computer will always shutdown to save itself, with the exception of say putting 2 volts to your processor, that is an instant CPU kill.

Based on what you said, it seems like I'll be able to achieve 4.5 GHz after all. Thank you for your help.
