Recommended Power-Line Communication (PLC)

Could you recommend about a good PLC?
A "PLC device" is (mostly) a device that enables ethernet communication over the power line cables.

My PLC is so bad that it creates enormous lags, disconnections and steep difference in speed 🙁

Only the newest are any good, the best is the Zyxel PLA5205kit. Take a look HERE and at their benchmarks on all the latest units. It is important not to use it on a surge protector or to have a strong motor (like a floor fan) on the circuit without putting the strong motor device on a 4-5 foot extension cord to reduce interference.

I get at least 100Mbps on any sockets in my large house with the PLA5205, where I often would only get 20-30Mbps with the older PLA4205 adapters.

What would you say about one of these:

* Edimax HP-5101K
* D-Link DHP-307AV

I don't have the Zyxel in my country..

How about Netgear, do you have that available? Their Powerline Nano500 Set (XAVB5101) is very good.

For D-Link, I would use the PowerLine AV 500 Adapter Starter Kit (DHP-501AV).

I don't know the Edimax HP-5101K, but several review that I saw on it were quite good.

No, sorry... I don't have the Netgear adapter.

My wall socket is of type H, see image: H Plug

Netgear and Zyxel are of type A or B... I think that's the reason they are not available.
Also the wall voltage is 230VAC.

I guess I'll try the Edimax HP-5101K.
Do you remember where were the reviews that you read about it?

Also I'll probably get a wireless adapter like the "Edimax EW-7811Un", just as a backup.

I care less for the throughput/capacity of the data, as long as the adapter works flawlessly (no huge latency, no disconnections etc.).

As for now, my adapter disconnects me every half a minute!!!
That damned TP-Link I wish they weren't exists ><

Sure, take a look HERE for the Edimax review. Looks like it should work well.

Insure that none of your adapters are on surge protectors, and if you have any large motors (like floor fans) on the same circuit, they should be on a short 1-2 meter extension cord to attenuate their interference with the powerline adapters.

Hi,
I don't have surge protector nor large motors (except for my air conditioner, but it's connected to a different power outlet in a distance of more than 2 meters.)

My PC is connected to a power outlet in a distance which is about 2 meters..
