What is the recommended Power Supply for a 1 gig T-bird ?
2 hard drives , 2 Cd units , 3 pci cards & 1 agp

250 , 300 watt or higher-(431 , 530) ?

Also , can you go overboard on how much power you put forth ?

Thanks .

300 watts for that configuration should be fine. You probably don't need more. It won't hurt to have more but you will pay more for it.

amd has a whole list of recommended p/s but any generic 300watt p/s should do with your settings. i've got 4 80mm fans, dvd-rom, cdrw, 2 hd's going at the same time with 300watt. it's no problem...it'a compusa brand, which is pretty much generic

With AMD, I would personally go with at least 300w. In your case, 300w should be fine.

300w should be fine. But you might want to get a little higher if u plan on getting a dual athlon system. they are coming our relatively soon, march i think, and they are gunna be power hungry.
