Question: will a 4pin molex work on 6 pin or pcie gpu? Because my psu isnt modern. If it isnt safe, what modern psu should i buy that is cheap, modern, and long lasting?

I'd replace the PSU which is almost certainly a cheap generic brand with something of better quality instead of using an adapter. As for what PSU to buy, the 520W Seasonic S12-II is often on sale for less than $40, that would most likely be a huge upgrade quality-wise. If that isn't available, then an often more common option would be the Corsair CX450/550/650 from 2016. (Not to be confused with the ancient CX430/500/600.)

While you could probably use a 4-pin molex to PCIe adapter, it would be a good idea to invest in a good quality power supply.

These are some good choices for (sort of) cheap yet long lasting. They have a 5 year warranty. https://pcpartpicker.com/products/compare/fZyFf7,nB3RsY,Q7L7YJ,3F2rxr/
