Recommended RAM For My Build

Hello everyone,

I am beginning to finalise my build and I am wondering about RAM. My current choice is a Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4-4266. Since I know next to nothing about RAM could someone advise me as to if this is a good choice? Are there any better options for around the same price?

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero WiFi
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8) DDR4-4266
Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB 2.5'' SSD and Seagate Barracuda 2 TB 3.5'' HDD
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB Superclocked
PSU: Corsair RMx 650 W
Case: Fractal Meshify C Dark TG

Any ddr4 ram you pick no matter the speed clock will get you about the same performance.So yeah you can go to corsairs yet if you consider saving some money you can go with a cheaper one and have the same performance

Thanks for the quick reply. So is there any recommended speed, or is any, say, above 2000 good enough?

Well actually it depends on what you will use your PC.If it's for gaming higher and lower clocks will give you same fps.If it's for other things like rendering e.t.c higher clocks will give you a bit more speed although the difference will be tiny.

Yes, sorry, I should have specified that. It's for gaming only.

I can't seem to find it. The name according to Amazon is CMK16GX4M2K4266C19. What does its absence from the list mean?

Because the list is showing a 32GB kit not a 16GB kit, so it's fine.

Yeah, I will probably look for a slower speed. I wasn't entirely confident in what I was looking for. These ones are a lot cheaper. Any reason to go for a high speed just for gaming with no other tasks like streaming?

The motherboard specs say max of 4200 speed is supported.
What you list will be ok, but, I think you are paying much more than necessary. 3600 speed is about right.
The rest of the build looks good.
I might buy WD or hitachi if you need a HDD, they are supposedly more reliable.
