Recommended replacement for Asus Z87-K

I have a Asus Z87-k motherboard that seems to have finally given up. I've had it for 7 years and was wondering if there is a better replacement that has the same size to fit the same case and accommodate similar hardware. I only have a liquid-cooled i5, two 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM, and a Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'm beginning to realize how old my system is. I have an i5 with an 1150 socket, so finding a compatible motherboard is tough. Do I really just need to upgrade the processor as well as the motherboard?
