Our boss asked me in inquire about which soundbar would be best for connecting to our Planar EP6524K-T. Assuming we can ever get it to use external speakers.

The room the unit is is has 12 foot ceilings with acoustic tiles, carpet tiled floor and is about 20' x 40'. There is no wall on the one short side. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There are 2 issues here: 1- should the soundbar be connected to the Planar or directly to the computer driving the Planar; 2- distance between the Planar or computer and the sound bar. As a general rule using a soundbar with an spdif input would be the best option since there's the least chance of hum being introduced during the connection process. So any one you choose with a spdif input would be okay. Since the Planar includes spdif out, that should be okay. That leaves the question of whether or not your computer includes spdif out.
