I don't play Arma 3 but I've read that the game engine focuses on 1 or 2 CPU cores. If the server uses Ai along with human players it really eats the CPU, so it depends on what server you play on to some extent. While the game may make use of more cores it tends to spread the load out after maxing out the first core, so more than 4-6 cores is not a big gain. You really need a whole new system but the most gain in FPS may come with a newer, faster CPU. I suggest you spend some time on the Arma 3 boards to see what others are saying about CPU...I play almost exclusively arma 3 and would like to upgrade my system for better fps my budget is 600. I currently have a gigabyte 970a-Ds3p with amd f 6300i think my GPU amd radeon HD 7700

Even with a faster CPU you'll still have to use lower visual settings with your GPU until you can upgrade it.I play almost exclusively arma 3 and would like to upgrade my system for better fps my budget is 600.
