Question Recommended UPS for intense PC usage?

So I was looking to buy an UPS for my pc to keep it safe from blackouts and storms and I came across several people telling me that using an UPS could make intense CPU processes such as rendering slower, but I couldn't find more info about it or if there's a model which wouldn't have such problem.

Does anyone have some more information on the matter?

Might I ask where the links to people who've said such are? An UPS only provides battery backup in times of high or low voltage. Apart from a surge protector, it's a means to rid your system of an abrupt shutdown.

I'm definitely no expert on the matter but don't you need your UPS to handle at least a percentage more than the highest Watt output your PC may reach during it's peak usage?
