Recommended USB memory stick data protecting software

Does anybody know of any really good software I can put on my memory stick to protect the data in case I lose it. Please help if you can. Thanks!

You could encrypt the entire drive, couldn't you? I think Win 7 Professional and Ultimate have options to encrypt entire volumes.
