I find myself in a bit of a weird situation. I've been looking for a new video card, with little way to afford one, when suddenly 0.049 bitcoins fell in my lap. Now at current prices, that's about USD$140, though that may change in the next 10 minutes given bitcoin's volatility. So far my top contenders are the RX 560 and the GTX 1050 Ti. But I have some additional criteria that need to be considered.
1) Must play nice in a virtual machine. AMD is usually best at this, but I can make GeForces work.
2) Must perform appreciably better than the GTX 670 I currently have.
3) Would prefer 3+ GB of VRAM.
4) Need to buy from a retailer that accepts Bitcoin. So far that seems to be Tiger Direct and Newegg.
5) Single slot design and/or no power connectors would be great. My tower is crammed with cards, and I only have 2x6-pin PCIe connectors.
I'm mostly playing older RPGs @ 1080p like Skyrim, Skyrim SE, Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect 3, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, etc. I usually can get high settings @ 45 fps with the GTX 670.
Any suggestions?
