Reconnect to home wifi

I've been using the same wifi connection at my apartment for ~5months, but my laptop suddenly can't see the home wifi connection (other computers can still connect, and I can connect using my blackberry). I can also see other available networks in the area.

I can only connect my laptop (windows 7) using the ethernet cable now; so far I've updated the driver to the Atheros AR9285 router through the device manager, and have tried many combinations of unplugging/disabling/restarting the computer with no success so far.

Any suggestions?

Buy a USB wireless adapter and disable the internal one through Device Manager if it's listed (right-click > Disable)
