I am extremely picky about my content on YouTube and I usually record gameplays at 1080p30. Now that my pc is finally built I am looking forward to recording on 1440p60. My specs are i5 7600k OC @4.8 Ghz. 16 Gb ram @3200 and a msi gtx 1080 gaming x set on OC mode. EVGA 850W Gold+ PSU and 1TB SSD and 3TB WD Red HDD ‑ 7200 RPM.
Recording BF1 at 1440p looks absolutely beautiful except the random video twitches for about second. My monitor is overclocked to 165Hz @1440p so don't give me BS about why I want to record in 1440p. It is a G-sync monitor so I expect the gameplay to be extremely smooth which I get. I just want my videos to be aas smooth. Anyone got the perfect bitrate that I should record on? Any help will be appreciated. I understand there's a lot of data being written on the HDD. Should I upgrade my HDD to an M.2 ssd?

I would recommend recording to an SSD, but what are you recording with. I use ShadowPlay and everything comes out smooth. Granted I'm doing 1080@60fps. Do you have an SSD. You can record to the SSD, and the copy to the hard drive. That's how I render my videos. It's much quicker (and cheaper) that way.

Yes I have a 1 TB ssd to which I record to. I used to use Action! for 1080p@60 and it was perfect. Now I have been using OBS for 1440p@60. Maybe there's something wrong with my bitrate?

Alright I just tried shadowplay on BF 1 and I have to say it runs way smoother. The problem is the color seemed washed out and I am talking about quite big difference. I can add color in post but it doesn't have the crispiness of the original gameplay, which I was able to capture through OBS. A plus to shadow play that I noticed is that the file size isn't as big.
