Hello,
I've recently started to record gameplay and uploading it to youtube, but I have a concern.
I have 1x 120GB ssd for my OS and apps, and a 2tb 7,200rpm hdd for games,(steam,origin)
I have PLENTY free on the 2tb hdd, but is it safe for the gameplay to be written to that hdd while the game is running off that same hdd?

Ive heard that its reccomended that you have one hdd dedicated to only outputing recorded gameplay..;

Thanks!

Once games have loaded their data into memory they tend not to perform much disk I/O at all to be honest.

So if you recorded to the same physical HDD that the game is on it should have less than 1% impact, and probably not more than 3% impact.

It would be better to run the game from the SSD and record to the HDD though.
