Hello!
I just fried two HDDs and one ssd in my stationary computer. I'm not sure what went wrong but I switched from a chieftek 750w PSU to a 600w silencer mkiii, both working perfectly but I used a sata power cable (both are modular) from the old chieftek PSU and when I turned the computer on I smelt smoke and immediately shut down the computer and pulled the power cable. All drives were connected with the same power cable, all of them 2.5 inch drives. Now none of them will work, I tried them in my laptop, tried different data ports, cables and power cables. The BIOS doesn't even register them as plugged in.
So my question is; is there anyway to salvage the data on the ssd (mainly) or the two HDDs? By buying a new controller circuit board perhaps?
Any answers will be greatly appreciated.
