Recover data from formatted HDD

Hello People.

I was about to install a clean copy of windows 7 and while configuring the partitions I accidentely formatted my second HDD containing all my data. Since I have not written anything in that particular drive I know there must be a way to recover my files. Which free program would you recommend?

I know that there've been topics about this in the past, but most of them where over a year ago and I am looking for some updated information about available programs.
