Hello, I need to recover some deleted video files.

The files were deleted in error approx a week ago to free up some space.

I have since installed a secondary storage drive and moved the folder the file was deleted from to the new drive.

How would i go about recovering these files?

Thankyou. PhotoRec got further than Recuva. Its recovered alot of videos i know i have deleted, but not the ones i require. Is this because i moved the folder?

File being moved off does not change the recoverability on it. Think the files as books in a library and a flie index as a librarian who knows what's where. When you delete, you just tell the librarian to forget about that book-the actual book is still there unless the librarian decides to place another book at its place. Recovery programs explicitly look through each shelf hoping to find the books the librarian doesn't know of. So if you deleted a file in a drive, you should run the recoveries on that drive. Though all of the above applies if you deleted it the normal way-wtihout programs such as Eraser. Try deeper scans, if it can't find, you might need to consult a data recovery specialist.
