Recover Deleted Partition

I have a 3TB internal HDD that I had partitioned into two 1.5 TB partitions, E and F. I needed to merge the two partitions (E, F) back into one (E). I removed all files from the F partition and deleted it. I then attempted to extend E to reclaim the unallocated space freed up by deleting F, but I don't see the 1.5 TB of unallocated space in Disk Management. What am I doing wrong?

That would be Disk 1?
It only shows that single partition. and generally, Disk Management doesn't lie.

What is the specific make/model of this drive?
Also, go through the commandline diskpart to definitively read that drive info.

2 final things:

1. Move all of that data off, temporarily, to a different drive.
Delete ALL partitions on it (just the one, apparently), and reformat it GPT.

2.Install and run the WD Data Lifeguard application.
Don't think that will find anything else, but just to be complete.

After that...maybe contact WD.

Thanks for the help. I'm sure I've done something wrong. Just to be clear on the steps I took to create this issue:
1. Removed all data from F drive
2. Deleted the F partition using Disk Management (1.5 TB)
3. Attempted to extend the E partition to claim the unallocated space

A deleted partition would still show as Unallocated, of 1.XGB.

Done something wrong or not...that freed up space should appear in Disk Management or diskpart.

Here's a bit more info. Did some research and it appears issue may be related to an old Intel RST driver. According to several sites, if I'm using a driver older than 10.1.1.x, then it could cause the disk to appear in Disk Management as only being 746 GB. Here's my attempt at analyzing what I have:

I think i have Intel driver version 9.6.0.1014. I've pasted details from Intel System Report. FYI, the HDD I'm having problems with is "Disk on Port 1". I downloaded and ran the Intel Driver Update Utility and it found no Intel drivers on my PC. The Utility recommended downloading generic drivers from HP and provided a link to the HP site. I went there and the Intel drivers are all old, version 9.1.1 or so. I'm afraid to download the latest Intel RST driver because it may be too new for my PC. Can you recommend a way for me to determine which driver to safely download? I hope this additional info is helpful. Anything you can suggest is most appreciated.

Is there a specific reason you're running the Intel IRST?
It is absolutely not necessary.

No reason at all. The only reason I even brought it up is that further research of my problem led me to believe that it may be related to the outdated Intel RST driver issue. If I move the remaining data off this 3TB drive and then simply reformat it, do you think that would fix the problem? I've emailed WD with a support question but have not received a response yet.
