Question recover files from disk drive bootmbr missing

hi. i installed new os on ssd and forgot to save pictures. now old drive doesnt boot (bootmbr missing). how can i recover photos?

You don't try to "boot" from the old drive.

It might be accessible as a secondary drive. A different drive letter.

Please show us a screencap of your Disk Management window.

hi. i can make screen cap tomorow. the disk is accessible but i couldnt find photos. from 1tb abot 60 gb is used.

Where did you have them saved?

i think some on desktop and some in user folder. but i looked up and they are empty or the new system cant read them.

They may still exist, but permissions will be the problem.

You'll have to look into TakeOwnership of that location.

Navigate down to wherever, and see what is say about access.

ok thanks. i will try that. if that doesnt help should i try to make that drive bootable by repairing bootmgr.
