I have an old computer that was probably running xp.
It was set to raid 0 with 3 discs.
A family of mice lived in the computer while it was stored anf trashed the whole thing. The discs look decent but the motherboard is wasted.
Can i get a nas enclosure and usb it into my computer and recover it that way?
I have had success in the past changing motherboards and rebuilding but the whole thing was destroyed.
Thank you.
Dan

No need to spend $1000 or match hardware. Assuming the drives are in good health then RAID Recovery software should be able to do the job. In addition to RAID reconstructor as mentioned by bignastyid a few popular ones are R-Studio or DMDE or R-Explorer. You can even do the recovery from Linux but not as easily.

You might first check the SMART health status of the drives with a tool like Crystal Disk Info. It is free... https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo

Thank you, i will just build a cheap computer w/raid and reset it with my old software. Its of the same era and should work fine. Done it many times in the past when i had a lab. Not hard to do just time consuming. The recovery lab starts at $1000.00 to do a simple recon.
Thank you for the info.
