so there's this video that had been deleted off an mp3/mp4 player. and i tried recovering it using a random software from the internet, i recovered some unwanted vids and images too, but i havent found my specific video yet :(

but the thing is, among the images i seemed to have recovered images(not one but a few) of the video i want :S , and i have never snapped images off that video.

does this mean that the file is still there somewhere? how can i recover this if possible, which is a powerful software for it?

im a noob so please dont use big words, and keep it understandable.

the video means a lot to me and help is needed real bad. thanks

If you were able to recover videos but not the one you hoped for, it's likely the software you used worked perfectly fine and the video you want is simply unrecoverable. Once a file has been deleted, the space it occupied is marked as available to be written to. Once you add new content to the storage, it is highly likely some of your deleted video was overwritten, which will make at least those overwritten parts permanently unrecoverable. Depending on the way the storage mechanism and the recovery software works, you may simply be out of luck. If it is that important, you should contact a DATA recovery company who may be able to recover what's left of the video, but expect it won't come cheap. Likely the recovery will start in the hundreds of dollars.

And they may not be able to recover it anyways.

Flash memory devices will immediately start to overwrite and corrupt data immediately due to wear leveling/garbage collection operations. running data recovery software will only add to this corruption unless you get a raw dump from the device first.

There's a good chance your video is largely corrupt or overwritten entirely at this point.
