Recover windows 10 to smaller ssd

Hi,
My HP laptop's hdd is crashed. It was 500gb. Now I want to replace it with ssd 240gb.And want to recover windows using hp recovery manager. I have a set of recovery discs which was created using Hp recovery manager.
Is there any problem to recover with smaller ssd.

If the used space is lower then the free space on the ssd then it is ok.

That will probably work.
Try it and see what happens.

Try it - - if the recovery process completes without any errors then you'll know it worked okay.

I've used the windows "recover from back up" to move from an HDD to SSD a couple times. It takes awhile but works just fine. I imagine the HP version will as well.
