Recovering ibm microsoft windows xp 98

i just removed my hard disk and am not able to open the programs on my PC some one told me that i have
deleted my Microsoft windows programs so please help me find ways and means to recover thank you

You removed the harddisk from your computer and did what with it? Did you try to put it into a newer machine?
