Recovering Important Files

I got a hard drive 500 gb seagate, it has a ticking sound, Bios wont detect the drive. I already tried connecting it another computer and try to recover some files but apparently the Drive capacity only shows 3gb, plus its showing an error

This is what backups are for.

If it's clicking, and Windows and the BIOS can't detect it...it is far too gone for any consumer level fix.

If it's clicking, and Windows and the BIOS can't detect it...it is far too gone for any consumer level fix.

and by checking and running around with it, probably getting anything from it now is 1000$+ job, without any guarantees.

its the hard drive from a colleague of mine told her its difficult to retrieve any files from so there goes her files from work, I also advised her to make a backup
